How to prevent burn out from a rough client session!
Hey Clinicians, I’m guessing that you feel exhausted and beat down, from dealing with emotionally intensive clients all week long?!
We know that Clinicians are guilty of over serving their clients, doing back to back sessions all day long, working during their personal time and taking on the wrong fit clients.
You believe that you need to help everyone all the time, no matter what! But all this self sacrificing for your clients, has left you drained and even resentful.
With the right support, shifting your perceptive, building your business boundaries and in making yourself a high priority, things can get way better. You don’t have to stay exhausted.
You’re so burnt out, that you can’t imagine staying in this field. But you can restructure your therapy practice, so it works for you and your life outside of your office. You can stay in this field that you worked so hard to get into!
Here are 3 tips on how to prevent exhaustion and burnout:
Set the number of clients you’d like to see per week and don’t go over this number.
Take breaks in between sessions for your mental health; go for a walk, eat, drink water, lay down or meditate.
Create a strong boundary between work and your personal life.
With these 3 tips, you can prevent exhaustion and burnout, so you can start enjoying your career again! This will take patience, some business structure and firm boundaries. But if you’re needing more support on this, do reach out to me for 1-1 coaching sessions!
